Helio glows with bright white light and a radiant warmth, like the sun on a perfect summer afternoon. There’s a sense of calm and contentment in its energy—simple, steady, and uplifting.

As in the rest of the Connectivity series, Teichert uses her signature painterly line to tie the work together. Flowing like a sine wave, the line creates a rhythm that runs through each piece, linking them into a cohesive whole. Sometimes it moves across the canvas like a horizon; other times, it forms into a luminous orb—something distant and cosmic, like a glimpse of the universe through a telescope.

Alice Teichert, RCA, was born in Paris, France, in 1959. She studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 40 solo exhibitions in Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany and Australia.
The recipient of numerous awards, in 2024, she was inducted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Canadian Arts (RCA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the visual arts. Alice Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections worldwide.
