The luminous, elegantly colourful paintings of Alice Teichert have garnered her an international audience. Known for her refined sense of colour, and her contemporary form, Teichert’s paintings—layer upon layer of acrylic—sometimes phosphorescent paint and will actually glow. With this piece the passages of colour flow across the canvas —melon, deep pink, purple and lemon yellow bordered by turquoise.

Alice Teichert, RCA, was born in Paris, France, in 1959. She studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 40 solo exhibitions in Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany and Australia.
The recipient of numerous awards, in 2024, she was inducted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Canadian Arts (RCA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the visual arts. Alice Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections worldwide.
