Omnipresent surrounds you with soft fields of blue and vibrant mango orange. These areas of colour are both divided and connected by a flowing band of tonal grey that moves through the composition like sound travelling through water—steady, fluid, and immersive.

In this work, Teichert explores a new medium and colour palette, expressing herself with more subtlety than before. Her distinctive line is still there—bold yet quiet—acting as a kind of opening between forms, a place where light filters through.

Faint rays of white pigment stretch outward from the central line, drawing the eye into lush, layered colour fields. Scattered across the canvas are rounded shapes in solid colours that serve as visual pauses. These elements punctuate the rhythm of the painting, gently guiding your gaze across the surface, creating a sense of movement and flow.

Alice Teichert, RCA, was born in Paris, France, in 1959. She studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 40 solo exhibitions in Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany and Australia.
The recipient of numerous awards, in 2024, she was inducted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Canadian Arts (RCA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the visual arts. Alice Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections worldwide.
