In Renewal, Teichert’s signature flowing line and dotted elements appear more focused and deliberate, set against a soft, rosy background that feels both warm and serene. The painting gives a sense of calm, a feeling of arriving somewhere peaceful.

Using a new medium and colour palette, Teichert explores a more subtle form of expression. Her line is still strong and present, but here it acts more like a quiet break between forms—a space where light gently filters through.

Faint white streaks extend from the central line, guiding the eye through layers of fresh, rich colour. These fields are immersive, but they’re grounded by small circular and oval shapes in solid tones. Like visual markers, they appear at steady intervals, helping to move your gaze across the canvas with a gentle rhythm.

Alice Teichert, RCA, was born in Paris, France, in 1959. She studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 40 solo exhibitions in Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany and Australia.
The recipient of numerous awards, in 2024, she was inducted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Canadian Arts (RCA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the visual arts. Alice Teichert’s paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections worldwide.
