About A Night Garden with Deep Rose Moon

Calgary artist Aron Hill captures an urban landscape at night in this bold new work. A jet black ‘sky’ provides the backdrop for a deep rose-coloured moon. Plants—blades of green and white appear to grow from the base of the composition. Hill is known for their fresh and playful abstract compositions conceptually inspired by the art of the famed modernist Jack Bush.

They obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
