At once contemporary and minimalist, Claude Millette’s dynamic tabletop sculptures exude energy. This piece, one of a series, recalls the form of tumbling dice—individual cubes are stacked at precarious angles, one on top of the other. The bright, glossy red finish enlivens and accentuates the modern form. The Quebec artist is known for his imaginative abstract work that plays with the viewer’s perception of balance and imbalance.

Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Millette studied at the École de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and apprenticed with sculptors Robert Poulin and Jordi Bonet. Millette's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
