More Works By Jeremy Guy Engineered Black Granite 2020About Embrace 4/50
Sculptor Jeremy Guy’s lyrical and moving abstract representation of a human embrace is created from engineered black granite. Two gently curved forms are intertwined in this contemporary tabletop sculpture that is limited to an edition of 50. The surface is highly polished so that it naturally reflects light. Each piece is cast in a mold so subtle changes can be made that make each signed sculpture quite unique. Guy’s beautiful artwork has garnered him international attention and numerous high-profile commissions. Early in his career, he was inspired by the style and form of two renowned modernist British sculptors—Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
The sculpture does not require a base although a plinth can be created in the same or different material, fee will apply.
This work is number 4 in an edition of 50. It weighs approximately 43 lbs.
“I feel it is my role as an artist to create a pause for contemplation by embracing that which is new and highlighting the wonder of what is already there.” Jeremy Guy
