About Marie-Louise

This contemporary figurative tabletop sculpture is by Paul Duval.

This charming series of indoor sculptures showcases Quebec artist Paul Duval’s skill in capturing the human ‘condition’ in simple form.
Each clay-coloured paper mache and wire sculpture possesses a distinctive personality expressed in a pose, a gesture, a mood.
Marie Louise is a tall, lean female figure who stands, unadorned with both hands raised as if in conversation. She stands on a wooden base.

Duval says he tries to “give the impression that my sculptures are watching us. Who are the witnesses of our daily life?” Paul Duval
