About Peach Sky
A lone tree set against a subtle peach-coloured sky has a serene and moody presence in this landscape by Canadian artist Peter Hoffer. Hoffer has created an entire series of tree portraits. Each one expresses their individual shape and personality. Known for his romantic landscapes, Hoffer’s treatment of each work on panel and sealed with resin is thoroughly modern.“A landscape is continually evolving. Its topography consists of repetitive gestures of surfacing, resurfacing and erosion. Exposed to the elements, scarred by the wind and shifting soils, the landscape reveals its own narrative.” Peter Hoffer
He holds an MFA. from Concordia University and degrees from the University of Guelph and OCAD University. Hoffer has lived and worked in Toronto, New York City, Paris, Montreal and Berlin. He has exhibited widely at art fairs in Basel, Toronto, New York, Stockholm, London, Milan, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. His paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections.
