About Halcyon
This impressive contemporary sculpture was hand-carved from black marble by Viktor Mitic. Highly regarded for his unique visual style, the Canadian artist favours abstract form. Halcyon exhibits Mitic’s signature flowing lines and imaginative shape. The beautifully veined marble is quarried from the regions of northern Spain in Markina, Basque Country. Its highly polished surface naturally reflects light.“Halcyon is a massive sculpture meticulously carved from black marble, evoking the serenity and timelessness of the mythic Halcyon days.” Viktor Mitic
