About Orion

The beautiful lyrical lines of Orion were crafted from 24 kt gold-plated stainless steel by Viktor Mitic. Its striking abstract form is named for and was inspired by the majesty of the Orion star system. Mitic is known for his expressive form and show-stopping use of natural materials. The gold finish is polished to a brilliant sheen that mirrors its surroundings. The sculpture sits on a pristine white marble base.

Viktor Mitic was born in Serbia, emigrated to Canada and earned a BFA from the University of Toronto in 1995 with studies in art history at Sheridan College. He has exhibited his post-Pop inspired paintings, prints and colourful abstract sculptures at numerous international venues, notable among them Muramatsu Gallery in Tokyo, The Armory Show in NYC, Art Chicago and Toronto. His work is held in corporate, private, and public collections.
