Charles Pachter

In a career that spans more than fifty years, Pachter has made his mark as a painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer, historian and lecturer. Like his American counterpart, Andy Warhol, Pachter has created numerous versions of his own iconic images and narratives that help define his country's culture. Included in this exhibition are outstanding early and late examples of his portraits of the Queen, the moose, rural Canada's barns and fields including one painting of a field near Carrying Place, and a number portraits of Prince Edward, Governor Simcoe and the Loyalists. A reception with the artist will be held on Saturday October 4 from 4-7pm, and Charles Pachter will be giving a one hour talk and presentation about his work Sunday, October 5 at 4pm (limited seating, reservations advised.)
