Susan Collett's Sculpture Placed in Permanent Collection in the Canadian Ambassador's Residence in Washington, DC.

Congratulations to Susan Collett whose gorgeous sculpture 'Helix' recently became part of the permanent collection in the Canadian Ambassador's Residence in Washington DC.

'Helix' was placed by International Affairs Canada on Collett's 30th Anniversary of her full-time studio practice.

The elegant, organic shapes of Susan Collett’s ceramic vessels are reminiscent of exquisite forms found in nature. Collett manipulates paper clay by hand—twisting, squeezing and shaping it—the layers and curved channels spiraling upwards create a vessel with a lacey edge.
