Oeno Gallery congratulates represented artist Paula Murray on her work 'Synapses, it was selected for the "63° Faenza Prize in Faenza, Italy" by the International Biennial of Contemporary Art Ceramics.

In addition to this accolade, Paula Murray was specially invited as an exhibiting artist and a panel speaker at the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche Faenza.

Here are a few of her words on ‘Synapses’:

"Synapses explore the unseen connections that hold us to the earth and to each other. It’s made up of 19 porcelain discs, each pierced with patterns inspired by stars, constellations. The number 19 is meaningful—it reflects cycles in nature and the cosmos, marking both endings and new beginnings.

The cracks connect these points, like neural synapses—pathways of energy and communication. They also echo the fractures in our environment, reminding us of the imbalance between humanity and nature. But even in damage, there’s room for light. For renewal.

Like constellations, our actions form a map—guiding us toward a future where healing is still possible." - Paula Murray
