Shayne Dark’s "This Column Ends" to be unveiled at Trent University
Shayne Dark’s "This Column Ends" will be formally unveiled at 2:00 pm on Friday Sept. 21 at Julian Blackburn Hall, Trent University, Symons campus in Peterborough. This towering cobalt blue column takes its theme from Brancusi’s "Endless Column" sculptures the most famous of which is his 1937 steel column in Romania that soars 98 feet into the air.
The unveiling will be further celebrated at Blue is the Colour of Night, A Trent Public Sculpture Symposium on September 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm. The public is invited to attend the event at Bagnani Hall, Traill College, 310 London St., Peterborough.
The keynote presentation “Canadian Sculpture Gardens” by Joyce Millar at 2:00 pm will be followed by a presentation by Dark who will discuss his work.
